Elle Brown - Large talismanic figure

Elle Brown (b.1999) is a stone carver, working from her studio space at Trenoweth quarry, Mabe. Limestone, soapstone and granite are her primary materials.

Brown’s work emerges from instinctual, direct carving while exploring the human form. The sculptures become discreet abstracts of the body, which comment on the fragility and identity of the subject.
