Alistair Grant (1925 - 1997) was best known as a printmaker. He was a supreme colourist with a wonderful sense of freedom and large sweeping brushstrokes.

His entire teaching career was spent in the printmaking department at the Royal College of Art, where he was a Professor. Over the years he taught printmaking to many who were to become leading UK artists.

His works can now be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
