NICOLA BENSLEY
In today’s world, many photographers tend to have replaced traditional film and instead experiment with digital. Enter Nicola, who’s main medium (to our delight) is black and white film. London based and influenced mainly by her immediate surroundings, Nicola examines the distortions of everyday life and the boundaries of fragility and beauty.
Among a number of awards that Nicola has achieved, her portrait of Maggi Hambling was shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and her “Hand of Frank Auerbach” will be exhibited at the Fitzwilliam Museum alongside the painter's own work.
