MIREIA RUIZ
After instantly falling in love with Mireia’s work, it came as no surprise to us to find out that she has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest brands - the likes of Bimba & Lola, Reebok and Absolut. Her vivid use of colour, dynamic compositions and unique abstract vocabulary make her work stand out strikingly against the grain.
Mireia lives and works in her studio in Barcelona. She completed her graphic design studies at the BAU Design Collage, Barcelona and has worked as part of several design studios since, most recently Cocolia Studio (2009 - 2019), where she took charge of its art direction and developed creative photography and set design projects. Now she devotes all of her time to her own art, using colour as a communicative tool to convey messages of energy, positivity and vitality.

Where is your favourite place to create art?
My favourite place is Formentera island, which belongs to the islands of Mallorca in the Mediterranean Sea. I like it especially in summer, for its beaches, its landscape and the smell that the trees give off and the noise of the cicadas.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
I am geometric, abstract and very colourful. Colour is my flag, the positivity it transmits is my goal.
