Briana audoire

British born artist, Briana Audoire, uses acrylic as her primary medium to create semi-abstract and expressive paintings. Focusing specifically on the female form, they explore themes of female strength, identity and positivity. After receiving a merit qualification from her Level Three Art and Design diploma, she is now working towards her degree at the Brighton School of Art. We are completely in love with her striking use of colour, shape and texture and we find her works incredibly uplifting and empowering.

3 Minutes with Briana…

Where do you draw inspiration from?
From everything around me, but my primary focus is people and their physical and mental persona. The brain inspires my more experimental and abstract work, while the female body is my main focus for my paintings.

Which artist would you like to watch at work?
I would love to watch Helene Delmaire paint, her paintings are so beautiful to me - a perfect juxtaposition of abstraction and realism. I would love to discover the way she uses her brushes and manages to achieve that balance between soft and hard marks.

What keeps you going through the day?
I started yoga a year ago and it has been my obsession since then. My brain is very overactive and I find yoga is the only thing that can really help keep me calm and collected.
